home inspector - solutions for new entrants
In response to the legislation and introduction of Home Information Packs in June 2007 there is a need for full time and part time Licensed Home Inspectors and also Energy Assessors.
Since the introduction of a stand alone Domestic Energy Qualification for Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) we are now advising all our new entrants into this new arena to start their journey by taking the DEA qualification first of all, as step one. This will still allow candidates to progress onto the HI Diploma (in simple terms the domestic energy qualification could be seen as Part A of the HI Diploma).
Our preferred route for new entrants provides:
- A quicker route through to employment as a DEA initially
- Provides candidates with experience and knowledge of this new industry sector
- Still enables those candidates to progress onto HI Diploma when HCR’s become mandatory
