Continuing Professional Development

To help domestic energy assessors achieve their required CPD hours, we have developed a range of on-line learning modules. Each module focuses on specific topics so you can identify your learning need and find the topic you require. You can choose to literally pay as you go or buy more topics at the same time – the choice is yours!

There are many benefits to you with this particular approach to CPD:

• study at a time that suits you
• study in the comfort of your own home/office
• avoid any travel costs
• minimise losing fee earning time by taking training days away from the office
• maximise the effectiveness of your learning in selecting the best approach for you

 How the system works

• Each module has specific learning outcomes and a multiple-choice short test to enable you to check your understanding and knowledge gained of the key areas
• Upon completion, you will be provided with a Certificate of Continuous Professional Development as evidence towards your required hours

3	Insulation Types & Use/Non-Traditional Housing	3	Understand and identify different types of insulation Understand the benefits of each main type of insulation Be able to explain how insulation is treated within the epc Identify the principle types of non traditional housing including: Steel frame Pre cast reinforced concrete In situ concrete
4	Heating, fires, flues and the EPC	4	Understand the principles of system efficiencies Be able within the context of the EPC to identify boilers both common and not so common Understand and identify the room heater choices for epc Be aware of the types of controls that are in common use Understand the likely different types of flues that will be encountered
5	Modern methods of construction	2	Understand the growing need for MMC Be able to recognise the varying techniques currently being employed including: Volumetric Hybrid systems Panel systems Sub assemblies On site technologies Understand some of the features that will give clues to the recongising of systems on site
