EPBD Roadshows: March - May 2008

Adapt to have a stand at Non-Domestic Energy Assessor events

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) will affect us all this year. They are already required when a home is marketed for sale. Between April and October 2008 they will be extended to commercial premises and residential lettings, becoming compulsory whenever a building is constructed, sold or let.

EPCs represent a major step towards combating climate change and a significant challenge for property, building, commercial, retail and public sectors. This will bring a mixture of business opportunities and obligations to clients.

Make sure YOU are fully up to speed by coming to one of the FREE half day awareness raising events and exhibitions around England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

These will provide a step by step guidance from government and industry experts – and the opportunity to meet accreditation bodies, awarding bodies and other stakeholders.

The programme will include:

  • climate change and the legislative background to EPBD
  • EPCs – what they are, when they are needed and who can provide them
  • what to advise your clients
  • the timetable for implementation
  • requirements for Non-domestic and Domestic Energy Assessors and arrangements for training and accreditation
  • career & business opportunities
  • OPEN FORUM: your questions answered – and issues for the profession discussed.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Dates and locations:
  • Monday 03 March - London
  • Thursday 06 March - Birmingham
  • Tuesday 18 March - Newcastle upon Tyne
  • Thursday 03 April - Northern Ireland (Ballymena)
